Hello! :P
I just came back from an extremely long day in school. I stayed in school for about 14 hours today. After lessons was over, I dragged myself to the Prefect room to prepare for later. Before lessons ended, we were very much demoralised by a difficult maths test. I have never been really good at trigo, because it takes a lot of practice. So during the test, we faced mind-boggling questions. The infuriating thing was that for 2 questions, I was on the right track, then when I derived at a complicated answer, I stopped and moved on. The answer wasn't the final answer, just a step needed to proceed on. So my "answer" seemed very complicated, so I thought I might have made a mistake somewhere. When I completed the questions I was able to do, I went back to those questions, with only 15 minutes to spare. Out of all the trigo formulas, one of them I dislike would be cos2A, because you just don't know which one to use. Therefore, after much confusion and scribbling here and there, I still did not derived at a final answer, which left me very disappointed. Both maths should be my best subjects and pull my grades up. I understand I should have equal focus on all my subjects, but I want to ensure an A1 for Maths. So what does this tell me? I just need to revise more trigo and practice more :/ Before I move on to what I had to help out with after school, I shall first talk about my English Oral. My English Oral was supposed to be conducted during the June holidays. Yes, that's long gone. It's been more than a school term! I did try to confront my teacher and agree on a suitable date, but due to discrepancies here and there, it was finally dragged to last Monday. So during my reading, he said I read too strongly, especially for the dialouges. Haha, if only I could put that into my singing :) Line from the passage: "What a good role model you are." -> Too strongly :P I did not discuss much for picture discussing, and all my sentences were quite impromptu. He also said I need to improve on my vocabulary. Lastly came the conversation. I really was not prepare for this. This part of the oral require quick thinking, like spinning your pen, accidentally dropping it, then quickly try to grasp it while it is still in the air. Weird analogies *.* So he asked me when I felt guilty, then I told a grandmother-like story. Hopefully I will score well. Oh by the way, my examiner was Mr Raphael Ong. Okay, now I shall talk about why I stayed back. I had to help out with the Sec 4 NSP. NSP = Night Study Programme Basically, I had to make Milo for the Sec 4s to drink during their break. I had to collect 3 kettles from the GO, start boiling water, and then quickly tear open 18 small 3-in-1 Milo sachets into each kettle. The Milo tasted sweet, but what was sweeter is finishing the whole process. -> :) The other prefect wasn't able to help me, but I managed to accomplish the whole task. It's challenges that make us stronger. So anyway, it has been meaningful helping out for NSP. Although I would not enjoy doing everything again, it was nonetheless, fun :) Oh, and... Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! The night sky was beautifully lit by the moon =] |
