Ü

Like previously said in a previous post,

a year in VS is like running the 4km run for X-country. With each km completed, you complete your CA/SA.

Now, SA2 is just round the corner, that means the end is not far away, it's just a few meters more.

And I can see the finishing point. It's time to sprint! Ö

Well, the exams start in 4 days.

It all comes down to this. The SA2 consist of a huge percentage of my grades. Whatever studying should have already been completed, what's left is last-minute preparation.

The first topics we learnt for every subject seemed to have been only taught yesterday, like in Maths where we started learning surds, or in Physics where we studied the awesome vernier calipers :)

Before I conclude this post, I would just like to post about my SPA practicals. :|

Physics
It was that experiment where we had to put one end of a meter rule (which had a hole in it) through a nail, and the other end will go through a string loop, attached to a Newton's meter, then record the force exerted.

My readings should be fine, although I got a really great gradient of 60 for my graph. The teacher said your gradient should be between 40 to 60, hopefully inclusive of which. However, I did get penalised because the meter rule touched the cork of which had the nail in it :(

Chemistry
I have to admit chemistry was, in my opinion, the most successful practical out of all 3 SPAs. I tried to minimise the mistakes I made, and my titration fortunately turned out well. However, I'm not sure if my experimental skills are good enough, to the extent I did not make any mistakes. So I do hope the teacher did not see my mistakes :P

Biology
T.T

Potato in different concentrations of sugar solution. When I actually had a mass-loss, I ended up forgetting to put the negative sign of it in my table, thus my graph is vertically opposite of what it actually had to be. Also, theoretically, there was supposed to be a mass-gain, but I had to mass-gain at all, so I couldn't calculate the approximate glucose concentration of the potato :( Yes it was quite a fail, but what's done is done, let that be a learning lesson for me.

So I guess with the SPAs becoming what is now gone, I have to focus for SA2.

My mum was making agar-agar just now. You have to stir the agar-agar for 2.5 hours (when it is in liquid state), before you leave it to cool and then put it in the fridge. After that, you can enjoy the fruits (or jelly xD) of your labour.

Yes, constantly stirring is certainly a chore, but to enjoy what you made after all that hard work, it is worth it. The same goes for exams- if we want to enjoy ourselves after the exams, we would have to work hard first, then we can spend the holidays to have fun, of course before realising that we are taking the O levels next year =)
