Ü I was in Taiwan for my holiday :P But before the day I left for Taiwan, there was bass outing! =D During bass outing, we met at Kallang Leisure Park (copy alto outing de). After lunch, we went to play bowling. My score was surprising good for the first game, but the same could not be said for the second. There were about 20 people bowling, so we occupied 4 lanes, and the bowling system was quite messy. Still, it was really fun bowling together as a large group, and one hour went by really quickly. There was one and a half hours before our movie started, so we went to the arcade. I probably spent a lot of money here as the games, such as Bishi-Bashi and Mario Kart were very "money-consuming". Then we headed to the movie theater where we watched Rapunzel the movie. I really liked the movie, although it was quite short. After the movie ended, I used up all my money at the arcade and then went back. The bass outing was quite similar to the alto outing, but still going for another outing is just as enjoyable. But I doubt there will be another outing soon, as school is starting again in 1 week :O _____ And now for Taiwan~ My trip in Taiwan lasted for 9 days. Although I had already been to Taiwan for the choir trip in June, this time we visited different places. This meant we did not go to Yilan, but went to GaoXiong, Taipei, AliShan, etc. The temperature in Taiwan was changes very quickly. It is now winter, but the temperature did not drop below freezing point. At Taipei, the temperature was about 15 degrees. The place also experienced 寒流, which meant it was drizzling and windy all day, 24 hours. Whereas in AliShan(阿里山), the temperature was about 6 degrees. As we moved closer to the south of Taiwan, the temperature went into 20+. But enough of the temperature, the food in Taiwan is great, especially the street food. One of my most memorable experience would be going to the theme park - E-Da World Theme Park. The place just recently opened and therefore there were very few people there. The good thing about that would be that there is no one waiting in line for the rides, but at the same time very few people would equal to not much of a theme park-ambiance, with less people screaming and stuff. For once, I was brave enough to take most of the rides, except the roller coasters. :p I really like this ride where your [box you sit in] ( sorry I don't know what it's called D: ) goes all the way up and then slides down a steep slope into the water, where it makes a large splash. I took that twice, although it meant I got drenched twice, even with the raincoat on. Another "ride" was the Haunted House. Usually when someone is scared, it's either of something that is overwhelmingly scary, or jumps out and gives a nasty surprise. In the Haunted House, it consists of both elements. With sudden loud noises and people dressed up in scary outfits, I would have been really scared if I weren't moving with my cousins. Nonetheless, I was still very scared. There was this guy, with a mask on him, and he wielded an axe. He came out of no where in front of us, and we were too afraid to move past him. After a long while, we waved his handed, a gesture to let us past. But he doesn't stop there. As soon as we scampered past him, we started waving his axe and chased us. There was a "no-running" rule in the house, but obviously we ignored it and ran past the revolving heads, skeleton corpses, moving statues and moving wall portraits. My heart was still racing after we got out, and I'm not sure whether it was because of the scare, or the running, and maybe even both. The theme park is really fun to spend the entire day. Although we could not stay at night to watch the shows, it has already been a great experience. My time in Taiwan was just as enjoyable, and I would say again that it is a great way to spend my holidays. |
